chelseapeg: For your infinity scarf, how many feet did you buy? Sorry if this is obvious.

for the pink infinity scarf I just bought one yard! depends on the size of your neck and how tight you want it, I made one for my grandma for christmas and 1 yard wasn’t enough…but was plenty for me :) there was no cutting involved so the best way to get an idea is to just wrap it around yourself and see if its comfortable :)

Summer Lifesaver

Yesterday during an extremely spontaneous trip to Target, I bought Aussie’s Three Minute Miracle deep conditioning alternative to ease my emotions on desperately needing a haircut. After using it this morning…it’s the best $4 ever spent. Just like a real treatment!

Now that it is officially spring/summer, I am taking my white jeans out and wearing them as often as possible!

I found some awesome styles this year

Cost Efficient Nail Solutions: Ombre trend

I feel like I’ve seen the “ombre” nail trend everywhere, blogs and magazines alike. One day I sat at Ulta looking for the perfect combination to do them myself, when I realized that this little experiment would cost me close to $50…worth it?

Soooo…I went through the colors I already have..and decided to do an easier version. With this you only need 3 colors, and as you can see from my examples they don’t necessarily need to be perfect in hue.

A fun version was to start with the center finger on one color, and the second color on the pointer and ring finger, with the last color on the thumb and pinkie. Or you can do the original Ombre trend starting with color one on the thumb, color two on pointer and middle finger and the last color on the ring and pointer fingers. You decide!

Summer 2011 Trends: Ballet Style

I have seen a lot of trends for nude and neutral colors, loose styles and girly fabrics but while shopping a Harrods (A european department store) online today I discovered a trend described as “ballet style”. I hadn’t seen this! And after a little research through google and TeenVogue,  the trend is in the US as well. I love that all 3 of these trends I had heard of are all together under one.

Homemade Nude Lips

When I woke up late the other day, I had to find a quick solution to nude lips! Any nude colored powder will do, all you do is mix it with a little vaseline; all you need is a clean makeup brush! Easy as pie.

MIA Week

As you can see there have been zero posts for the week. While separating myself from the computer, I rediscovered some things that I love.

Thursday Smiles

Even though we are over the mid-week hump, sometimes we need a little pick-me-up regardless.

New OPI Collection: Silver Shatter Baby!

I received my OPI Pirates of the Caribbean Collection picks today! Of course I had to use all three at once due to my terrible lack of decision skills.

It’s definitely not as obvious at the black shatter but after a brainstorming sesh with a friend, some experiments with all the shatters might be in store!

No Bueno: Sugar Based Drinks on Cinco

Sugar and alcohol can be disastrous together. And since it’s Thursday and we all have A.Work B. School C. Need to be productive in SOMETHING or D. all of the above; I would like to suggest celebrating Cinco with this sweet-but-not-too-sweet-so-you-can-get-up-tomorrow-feeling-great Peach Margarita.

Ingredients:

4 oz tequila

2 oz peach juice

1 oz lime juice

Directions:

I prefer the frozen margarita, so add a handful of ice cubes and mix all ingredients into the blender. For on the rocks, pass the blender and put the handful of ice cubes in your cup and mix all ingredients together.

Be Safe! :)
